Shipley Illustration LLC
This fall, we took a big jump into the unknown and decided that we wanted Matthew to be able to try his hand at freelance illustrating. He went from full- to part-time at his job at Sports Endeavors, and Shipley Illustration LLC was born!
Matthew has seriously worked SO HARD to get to where he is today. Thousands of hours honing his skills, learning new programs, researching techniques, and learning how to run a successful business have all led to this crazy adventure. I am so proud of all the work he has put into this and am consistently amazed at his passion for doing the thing he loves most.
It has not been easy. I mean, when's the last time that you heard of an artist making it big straight out of college? (maybe never.) Sometimes it is discouraging, and sometimes I am cranky and frustrated, but through it all, Matthew has been brave and dedicated, and I truly believe that he can do anything when he puts his mind to it.
Regardless of how this ends up, we are glad we made this adventure, and art will always be a part of our lives. We are hoping for the best!! On that note, send some business our way if you ever need some illustration work done! ;)
Here's some pretty cool things Matt has been working on:
Shipley Illustration Website (what?! He has his own website? He must be legit!)

Some neat-o animations
A couple of my favorite of his illustrations are the Christmas presents he made for my mom and my mother-in-law this past year. He illustrated me and all of my sisters, as well as his family in a brady bunch square
His first, in a series of animated videos for Emergency Essentials. Watch, but be prepared to be creeped out!!
And my personal favorite, the illustrations he used to propose to me:
