#Employed
My blogging life as taken a sad little pause, and someday I will write of our lives between November 3rd and Groundhog Day '15, but some recent events just need to be shared immediately. (and when I say immediately I mean like 5 days later... sorry eh?)
Matthew is officially EMPLOYED!!
It FINALLY HAPPENED!! ......FINALLY PEOPLE, IT HAPPENED!!!
We have been WAITING for months, and Matthew has been diligently applying for several jobs a week, following up, and doing that most frustrating task that all of us just have to plow through at some point in our lives. And finally it paid off!!
Life in North Carolina has not been what we expected it to be. We really love it here, but have experienced financial, physical, health, and emotional trials during our time here. Through all of this, we have really grown to love and appreciate each other and our Heavenly Father more. Pieces are finally starting to fall into place for us here and we are just grateful for hard times and good times alike. We look forward to many more months & years here, because Durham is so great to us!
I am grateful for the extra time that we get to spend together driving to/from work. We only have one car, and our jobs are literally 3 minutes away from each other so we get to be carpool buddies :) The only downside is that I am a huge audio-book-listener while I drive so Matthew and I are going to have to actually AGREE on what we listen to (Goodbye, Harry Potter-s-1-through-7-and-rom-com-novels)
His job is a graphic design position at a company called Sports Endeavors. That's all I know. And I think that's all he knows too. His first day was today.
This is how he feels about waking up early, having to wear grown up clothes, and not watching soccer all day:

This is how he feels about being employed, not being the designated housewife anymore, having health insurance, not having to look for a job, and about me! Notice his very tired face.
Matt's happy, I'm happy, we're happy, life is getting better.
Yayay! Congratulations Mattchu! THat's awesome! I hope it is joyous. You guys are champs.
