Still alive, fear not.
Student teaching can be described in one word: awful.
Or 2: time-consuming
Or 3: I'm always exhausted
Or 4: Pain in the butt
Or 5: I'm so ready to graduate.
Or 6: Why am I doing this again?
I love it. I hate it. I can't wait to be a real teacher, I am terrified to be a real teacher. Some days are bad, some days are good. Some days I come home bawling, some days I come home smiling. It is an emotional roller coaster if I have ever been on. And that's why my blogging life has been non-existent as of lately. I don't have time to exercise. I don't have time to sleep. I don't have time to spend with Matt. I don't have time to shower. I don't have time to cut my toenails. I don't have time to shave my legs. I don't have time to clean my house. I don't have time to call my parents. So naturally, blogging is at the bottom of the list. There you go. ha. I just needed to rant, because today was one of those days. So I guess sometimes I do have time to blog when I need to let it all out to someone, ha. <Rant over>
I'm really lucky to have such a kind and supportive husband through all of this. I've seen him cook and clean, and wipe my tears and vacuum, and scratch my back more than I have ever seen him do before. Marriage is awesome. If I was single during student teaching I would literally have no friends because I wouldn't have time. I'm glad I have someone who is forced to be my friend through all of this :) Yet he's here by choice, and I love him a lot. Also, he made this super neat commercial that comes on BYUtv all the time! I'm married to a famous person! Wahoo! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr_whT-pXUA
So that's it. I'm finishing my last week at the junior high this week and then moving onto Riverton High next Tuesday, which will be an absolutely miserable 45 minute commute to arrive there at 6:55am every day. Shoot me. Thank goodness for 5-hour energy. (Kidding, but actually I'm totally serious. That stuff is saving my life). That's your brief update of what's going on in the Shipley household. We're still alive, fear not.
haha if you were still single while you were student teaching I would be your friend and cut your toenails for you
